 OBITUARY

 
Marie Buffa, 84, of Ogallala, died January 18, 2011 in Ogallala Community Hospital. 

Marie was born April 2, 1926 in Slater, MO., to Frank and Mary Lewis Schneider.

Marie was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 69 years. As a teenager she made the choice to do full time missionary work, so left home while in her teens to serve in several parts of Missouri and Arkansas. She graduated from the Bible College of Gilead in New York in 1947 and thereafter devoted the rest of her life, working selflessly, helping individuals learn Bible truths.

She lived in North Platte for 27 years and moved to Ogallala three years ago to be closer to family.

Preceding her in death was her husband Paul Buffa, her parents, two brothers Andries and Birch Schneider, and one sister Ellen Schneider.

Survivors include her daughter Rebecca and her husband Merrill Davis of Ogallala, two brothers Arthur Schneider of Malvern, AR and Eugene Schneider of Olathe, KS; three sisters Mary Morrison of Olathe, KS, Naomi Bailey of Spring Hill, FL., and Eva Meyer of Butler, MO. Four grandchildren: Tina Davis of Ogallala, Marla (Alfredo) Rojas of Gering, John-Paul (Amy) Davis of Evans, CO., and Mark Davis of North Platte. and seven great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no viewing. The Memorial Service will be held at the Ogallala Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday, January 29, at 2 p.m. with Elder Patrick Martin of North Platte conducting the Service.
