OBITUARY
Dale Corfield, 90, longtime Arthur County rancher and currently of Ogallala,
died June 3, 2010 in his home.

Dale was born July 7, 1919 in North Platte, the son of John and Daisy Barnt
Corfield. He received his education in the
Milrose Precinct country school in Arthur County and graduated from eighth
grade. Dale spent the majority of his life in Arthur County, ranching and
breaking horses.
On May 23, 1953 Dale married Ardeath Joyce Leeds in Lexington and the couple
resided in Arthur County. Dale was self employed moving houses and laying sod.
He was a cowboy and very proud of his hereford calves, his horses, and
greyhounds. Dale enjoyed hunting coyotes. He especially liked breaking horses
and spending time in the corral with his family.
In the early 1980's Dale moved his family to Keith County to his dream place, an
acreage with riverfront property. There he enjoyed many fun times with his
family. Dale reminisced with friends about old times and had a passion for going
to auctions.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter Ramona G. Corfield, a
brother Erle D. Corfield, and a sister Doris A. Wilson.
Survivors include his wife Artie Corfield of Ogallala, his children: Lonni
(Mike) Kallhoff of Sutherland, John (Susan) Corfield of Paxton, and Donna
(Robert) Constantine of Roscoe. A sister-in-law Mildred Corfield of Ogallala.
Six grandchildren: Greg Bringewatt, Kristal Steinbeck, Joshua Corfield, Stacey
Whetstine, Cody Corfield, and Justin Corfield. seven great-grandchildren:
Preston Corfield, Tahlia Steinbeck, Gage Whetstine, Kenna Bringewatt, Kallan
Steinbeck, and Jacob & Hannah Cook and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Monday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Draucker Funeral
Home. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 8, at 10 a.m. in the Arthur
Baptist Church. Pastors Duane Dunwoody, Curtis Tschetter, and Ben Keene will
officiate.
Interment in the Arthur Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his name.
