 OBITUARY

 
Shirley Leake, 76, of Ogallala, died on February 23, 2010 at the Ogallala Community Hospital.

Shirley was born April 9, 1933 in Keystone, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Blanche Osborn Leake. The family moved to Arapahoe in 1936. They resided there until 1952 when they moved to Ogallala.

She began working at Goodall Electric in 1952, and TRW, and later was employed at American Shizuki until retiring in 1996.

Shirley enjoyed her retirement with her poodle and family and friends. She also enjoyed sitting on her porch swing with a good book, long walks with friends, and working in her flower garden.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers George Leake and Elmer Leake, and one brother-in-law Harold Riedel.

Survivors include a sister Viola Riedel of Ogallala, a brother Clifford Leake of Cheyenne, WY., one nephew Michael Riedel of Ogallala, three grand nieces, two grand nephews, and three great-grand nephews.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation. Memorials can be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.

Memorial Services will be Friday, March 5, at 10 a.m. at Draucker Funeral Chapel. Rev. Phil Ewert will officiate.
