 OBITUARY

 
Phyllis Vasa, 77, of North Platte and formerly of Ogallala, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at the North Platte Care     Center.

Phyllis was born March 26, 1932 in Ogallala, the daughter of Louis and Clara Francil. She attended Ogallala schools and graduated from Ogallala High School in 1949.

Phyllis was married on July 18, 1949 in Ogallala. Phyllis managed her farm southwest of Ogallala where she raised her three boys and resided there for over fifty years. She moved to Premier Estates Assisted Living Center in North Platte in 1999.

Preceding her in death were her parents, son David Vasa, and grandchildren Zachery Vasa and Daniel Vasa, sister Irene Kaps, brothers Edgar Francil and John Francil.

Survivors include two sons: Stephen (Debbie) Vasa of Lincoln; and Brian (Nichelle) Vasa of Ogallala.
Daughter-in-law Cindy Warren and husband Jim of Gering. One brother Milford Francil of Oshkosh.
Eight grandchildren: Jennifer (Marvin) Klement of Ulysses, NE. Nicholas (Melissa) Vasa, Jason Vasa, Jessica (Kyle) George, all of Fort Collins, CO. Angela (Jason) Dixon of Arlington, VA; Joy Vasa of Omaha, Shyanne Foster and Cidney Foster of Ogallala. and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 15, 1 to 5 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Draucker Funeral Home. Rev. Eric Wait of New Hope Church will officiate. Interment in the Ogallala Cemetery.
