Shirley Pierce, 75, of Ogallala, died October 28, 2009 in her home. 

Shirley was born August 3, 1934 in Golden, CO., the daughter of James and Alberta Matson Harvey. Shirley attended school in Englewood, CO. and graduated from high school in 1952.

In 1953 Shirley married Joe Pierce and the couple made their home in Englewood. She was employed by Aspen Labratories as an electronic technician. She retired in 1988.

In 1992 Shirley moved with her family to Ogallala. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center and seeing her friends there.

Preceding her in death was her son Michael Pierce, grandson Douglas Lee Gibson and his wife Crystal, and two great-grandsons Kyle and Levi Gibson.

Survivors include two daughters: Debra Axmacher of Littleton, CO. and Diane (David) Gibson of Ogallala.
two grandsons: Chris Gibson of Ogallala and Geoffry Axmacher of Kansas City, MO. and four great-grandchildren.
