OBITUARY
Robert Brewster, age 71, longtime Ogallala resident, died Monday, July 20, 2009
in the Ogallala Community Hospital. 
Robert Ray Brewster was born October 31, 1937 in Moran, TX., the son of Robert and Mohlia Henry Brewster. Robert attended all of his school years in Comanche, TX. During high school he participated in Future Farmers of America, basketball and football graduating in 1956.
In 1957 he entered the
Army and served in
Germany and France. He was discharged on May 28, 1963.
On June 29, 1965 Robert married Lynda Irene Edler in Lubbock, TX. Robert was employed as a glass glazer, veterinarian assistant, and was a dairy farmer. He also managed Stuckey Stores in Texas, Florida, and later in Nebraska.
Robert called Ogallala home for twenty-three years, working eight years at Ogallala Motors where he did office work and transported vehicles. He was known as 'Big Bob' when he greeted customers.
Robert's hobbies included making beef jerky, watching 'The Price is Right', and gardening. He especially liked spending time with his wife and going fishing with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother Delbert Brewster.
Survivors include his
wife Lynda Brewster of Ogallala; his children:
daughter Marquette (Stephen) Meyer and their children Victoria, Glen Allen, and
Amber Lynn of Lampassas, TX.
Son Robert A. (Marjorie) Brewster and their children Bonnie, Laura, Dustin, and
Chad of Lampassas, TX.
Son Richard (Samantha) Brewster of Lisco.
Son Robby (Christine) Brewster and their children Brittney and Cody of
Weatherford, OK.
Daughter Elizabeth ( Michael) Patterson and their children Krissa, Spencer,
Emily, and Sydney of North Platte and Alyssa (Theron) Davidson of Ogallala.
Daughter Rebeca (Ryan) Hageman and their children Rachel, Rheagan, and Renae of
Goodland, KS.Son Harvey (Amanda Jo) Brewster and their son Lane of Lincoln
Son Albert (Amanda) Brewster and their children Blake and Jasper of Ogallala.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation.
A Family Gathering will be held Wed. July 22, at Lake Ogallala. Pastor Jim Nichols of the Ogallala Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate.
A memorial has been established to the Shriners Hospitals.
Draucker Funeral Home of Ogallala is in charge of arrangements.
