Mary was born January 5, 1918 at Dewey, OK, the daughter of Roy Elwin and Verna Doty Patchin. She received her early education in a rural school south of Seneca, NE. Mary returned to Dewey where she graduated from eighth grade.

Mary resided in several states including Iowa, Arizona, Texas, Idaho, and Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Elwin and William Patchin, half brother Kenneth Patchin, and one grandson Troy Hart.

Survivors include son Lesley Dean Valentine and special friend Pat of Brighton, CO; two daughters: Verna O. Valentine of Arthur and Mary Lou Hart of Phoenix, AZ. Sister-in-law Velma Patchin of Omaha and two half-sisters Thelma and Vivian, both of Oklahoma. Also eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation. A memorial has been established in her memory.

A Memorial Service will be Friday, April 17, at 2 p.m. in Draucker Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Keene of the Arthur Baptist Church officiating.
