 OBITUARY

 
Kristi Peak, age 45, of Paxton, died January 2, 2009, in the Ogallala Community Hospital after a long battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Kristi Kay Peak was born June 24, 1963 in Ogallala, the daughter of Darold and Wanda Wood Priesner.

Kristi graduated from Ogallala High School in 1981. She then attended Mid Plains Community College in North Platte until 1983.  Kristi enrolled in Southeast Community College in Lincoln and graduated in 1985.

On May 3, 1986 Kristi married Vance Peak in Ogallala and the couple made their home in Paxton. She was employed at Sears in North Platte, First National Bank of Ogallala, and then worked for PAKS from 1989 to 1992.

Her hobbies included watching her daughter participate in sports and she was also active in the 4-H program. Kristi was a member of the Paxton United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death was her mother Wanda Priesner and her nephew Joshua Isley.

Survivors include her husband Vance Peak and her daughter Rhiannon Peak, both of Paxton; her father Darold Priesner and her brother Ken Priesner and his wife Laurie Wrage, all of Ogallala. Her sister Cheryl and her husband Michael Isley of Graham, WA; her mother-in-law Phyllis Peak of Paxton; her uncle Everett Wood of Ogallala; and her niece Sarah and her husband Brad Thorsteinson of Graham, WA.

Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Draucker Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 10 a.m. in the Paxton United Methodist Church with Rev. Adam Davenport officiating.

Interment in the Paxton Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.  Draucker Funeral Home of Ogallala is in charge of arrangements.
