OBITUARY
Jeanne E. DeVore, age 76, longtime Ogallala resident, died Tuesday, January 28,
2009, in her home.

Jeanne was born November 23, 1932 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Viola Fuller Davis. She attended school in Cincinnati, Iowa.
After graduating from Centerville High School in 1950 she attended Iowa Wesleyan College and graduated in 1952.
Jeanne married Ralph DeVore in 1952 and the couple made
their home in Cape Canaveral, FL. In 1955 they moved to California where Jeanne
continued to further her education. She moved to Ogallala in 1967 and became
active in the Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star
and PEO. Jeanne then became the Educational Director of the First United
Methodist Church under the leadership of Rev. Cecil D. Lackore.
In 1985 Jeanne moved to Beatrice where she was employed as Administrator for the PEO Home. Upon retiring in 2005 she returned to Ogallala and worked for Cobb Realty and the Nebraska Division of Tourism and Travel.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include two sons Paul DeVore and his special friend Kelly Robare of Lincoln, NE., and Michael DeVore of Boulder, CO.
One daughter Jennifer and her husband Jon Krieger of Aurora, CO. and four grandchildren Nicholas DeVore and Catherine DeVore, both of Lincoln, and Dylan and Preston Krieger, both of Aurora, CO.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be Wednesday, February 4 at 11 a.m. in the Ogallala First United Methodist Church with Rev. James Miller officiating. Funeral rites will be performed by PEO.
