 OBITUARY

 
Glen Willard, age 68, of Ogallala, died October 22, 2009 in his home.  

Glen Dale Willard was born June 15, 1941 in Paragould, AR., the son of Riley and Tillie Terry Willard. Glen attended school in Fresno, CA. through the tenth grade.

On March 27, 1968 Glen was united in marriage to Marilyn Kay Ackerman in Las Vegas, NV. The couple resided in Ogallala, NE., and Glen was employed by Hinz Trucking of Odessa, NE, retiring in 2005.

Glen's hobbies included fishing, hunting, and riding horses. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching baseball. Glen was a member of the Ogallala First Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister Shirley Lane.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn Willard, daughter Deborah Willard, son Kurtis Willard and his wife Charmaine, all of Ogallala. Also five grandchildren: Victoria, Shelbee, Michael, Wyonna, and Cassidee, two brothers Earl Willard and Carl Willard, both of Lexington, TN.; and two sisters Freda Miskell of Fresno, CA. and Wilma and her husband Stan Davis of Lexington, TN.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be Friday, October 30, at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Tschetter officiating. Memorials have been established to the First Baptist Church and the American Diabetes Association.
