OBITUARY
Evelyn Odenbaugh, 81, of Brule, died June 2, 2009 at her home. 
Evelyn was born May 5, 1928 in Kersey, CO., the daughter of Jake and Olinda Lessor Heimbichner. Evelyn attended rural school near Greeley, CO.
After she graduated from College High School in Greeley she was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone Co. On April 26, 1947 Evelyn was united in marriage to Cullen Odenbaugh in St. Francis, KS. The couple resided in Platteville, CO. where they farmed and also operated a dairy farm for forty years. Evelyn was also employed at Bailey's Manufacturing.
In 1997 the Odenbaughs moved to Brule and set up their dairy farm operation.
Evelyn enjoyed belonging to the Women's Bowling Association.
Preceding her in death was her parents, her husband Cullen in 2004, one brother Wilbur, one sister Shirley, and two daughters-in-law Lorraine Odenbaugh and Valarie Odenbaugh.
Survivors include four sons: Steven Odenbaugh of Milliken, CO; Vernon Odenbaugh of Ogallala; Whitey (Dana) Odenbaugh of Brule; and Harley (Gail) Odenbaugh of Platteville, CO. One daughter Koleen (Mark) Stone of Brule. One brother Jack (Beth) Heimbichner of Castle Rock, CO. Also eleven grandchildren: Julie Crabtree of Denver; Heather Martinez of Evans, CO; Vanessa Odenbaugh and Shawna Frias, both of Greeley, CO.; Jacob Dowdy of Ogallala; Mikel Dowdy of Brule; Justin and Crystal Odenbaugh of Platteville, CO; and Kelsey, Blake, and Calven Odenbaugh of Brule and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no viewing. Memorial Graveside Service will be Friday, June 5, at 2 p.m. in the Brule Cemetery. Rev. Phil Ewert will officiate.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
