 OBITUARY

 
Clara Lehl, age 67, longtime Brule resident, died July 3, 2009, in Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, NE.

Clara Jean Lehl was born December 31, 1941 in Imperial, NE., the daughter of Paul and Lorene Lewis Greeley. 

She received her early education in the Venango Schools and graduated from Venango High School in 1961.  Clara moved to Ogallala where she worked for TRW and then American Shizuki Corporation for more than forty years.  She retired in 2007. 

Clara married  Charles Thomas Lehl in 1975 at Ogallala and the couple made their home in Brule.  Tom Lehl died on January 10, 1997. 

She was baptized into the Lutheran Church.  Clara enjoyed working in her yard and growing roses. 

Preceding her in death were her parents. 

Survivors include her sister Bev and her husband Ron Hornbacher of North Platte,  her brother Gerald Greeley and his wife Anita of Brule; three step-sons: Roger Lehl of Loma Linda, California, Doug Lehl of Monett, Missouri; and Jim Lehl of Grand Island. Also several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation.  A Memorial Service will be Friday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at Draucker Funeral Home.  Rev. David Dobbertien of St. Pauls Lutheran Church will officiate. 

Inurnment in Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell on Friday, July 10, at 2 p.m. Central Time.
