Janice Lynn Steinwart Larson was born August 22, 1957 in Grant, NE., to Robert and Wanda Robinette Steinwart. Janice attended school in Ogallala and graduated with the Class of 1975.

She attended the University of Northern Colorado and the Denver College of Radiology. Janice was also employed in the office of a construction firm and later had a children's day care.

Janice worked at several nursing homes in Ogallala, Kearney and Lincoln.

She cared for nephews Lucas and Justin for some time.

On February 14, 1998 Janice married Douglas Larson at Kearney and then moved to Lincoln where she resided until the time of her death.

She enjoyed caring for her flower and vegetable garden and took pride in canning the vegetables.

Preceding her in death was her brother Clinton Steinwart, her father Robert Steinwart, her step-father David Mercer, and her grandparents Frank and Bessie Steinwart and Loren and Alma Robinette.

Survivors include her husband Douglas Larson of Lincoln; her mother Wanda Mercer of Ogallala; two brothers Rodney (Luann) Steinwart of Kearney and Roger (Janet) Steinwart of Ogallala; and her sister Christy (George) O'Hara of Lakewood, CO. Also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Draucker Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Monday, December 22, at 10 a.m. in the Ogallala First United Methodist Church. Rev. James Miller will officiate.

Interment in the Ogallala Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name.
