Irene Lucille Lagler Frahm was born March 25, 1919 at Grant, NE., the daughter of August C. and Mary Kraft Lagler. She attended Grant schools and graduated from Perkins County High School with the Class of 1936.

After teaching school for three years Irene married Ivan Frahm on June 6, 1939 at Zion Lutheran Church at Grant, NE. The couple farmed south of Grant for two years. In March of 1941 they moved to their present home northwest of Ogallala. They farmed and also raised purebred cattle for a number of years. Irene moved to Ponderosa Villa in Crawford in 2003.

Irene was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Ogallala. Her hobbies included reading and vegetable and flower gardening.

Irene was preceded in death by her daughter Charlene in 1960, son Myron in 1973, a sister Dorothy Albrecht and brothers George Lagler and Faldean Lagler. Ivan died on March 2, 2003.

Survivors include her son DeLioyt Frahm and his wife Judi of Crawford; Sister Lillie Nass of Madrid, NE; two granddaughters Christine and her husband Dave Lein of Valentine; Tracy and her husband Robert Hicks of Hemingford; and grandson Brian Frahm and his wife Carrie of Pierre, SD. And eight great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. Graveside Service will be Tues., December 23, at 11 a.m. at the Ogallala Cemetery. Rev. David Dobbertien of St. Pauls Lutheran Church will officiate.
