Delvene was born August 30, 1934 south of Mullen, the daughter of Wayne and Hilda Brown Christie. Delvene was raised in Mullen where she graduated from High School in 1951. She then attended Grand Island Business College.

On June 29, 1961 Delvene married Gordon Hinton. They had three children Donde, Dan and Kris. Her married life was spent in several locations including Denver, CO., Arthur and Maxwell, NE., retiring in 1994 to Keystone.

Preceding her in death were her parents and daughter Kris Hinton.

Survivors include her husband Gordon Hinton of Keystone, daughter Donde and her husband Michael Alenius of Denver; son Dan Hinton of Halton City, TX; granddaughter Amanda Alenius; great-grandson Michael Alenius, both of Denver. Three brothers Elton Christie of Chappell, Chris and his wife Arlene Christie of Ogallala, and Jerry and his wife Carol Christie of Widefield, CO. and also many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation and cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established to the Keystone Lemoyne Fire Department.
