OBITUARY
Kenny Garvin, age 89, longtime Ogallala resident, died June 10, 2008 at Indian
Hills Manor.

Kenny was born April 4, 1919 at Marcus, IA, the son of John and Mary Riley Garvin. Kenny received his education in Marcus.
Kenny entered the Navy on December 12, 1942 and served in the South Pacific during WWII.
He was united in marriage to Lillian Kerchinske on July 19, 1952 at Muscatine, IA. The couple resided in Omaha where Kenny was a Teamster. In 1958 the couple moved to Lockport, IL and later to Omaha.
After retiring in 1976 Kenny and Lillian moved to the north side of Lake McConaughy. That same year Kenny built the Martin View Mobil Home Court.
He also owned and operated a used car lot in Ogallala during this time. In 1996 they sold the mobile home court and moved into Ogallala. The Garvins enjoyed wintering in Bullhead City, AZ.
Kenny was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge. His hobbies include bowling, fishing, golfing, and tinkering with cars.
Preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers Clem, Hugh, Marion, Harold, and John; and four sisters Emma, Monica, Mary Margaret, and Gertrude.
Survivors include his wife Lillian Garvin of Ogallala, daughter Patricia Merritt of Manchester, MO and Mary and her husband Loren Tilton of Ogallala.
Two granddaughters Karla Reese of Grant, NE and Michelle and her husband Anthony Walker of Baltimore, MD. and great-grandson Kaden Walker.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
