Dennis was born July 28, 1964 in McCook, NE., the son of Gary and Doris McCormick Sigwing. Dennis received his early schooling in Rapid City, SD and attended Michigan Middle School.

After graduating from Ogallala High School in 1982 he attended Mid Plains Technical School in North Platte. Dennis was employed by Egging Manufacturing in Sidney. He also had a fifteen year career in auto sales.

Last year Dennis began working as a truck driver with the pipeline construction company and belonged to the Teamster Union.

In 1982 Dennis married Christina Moreno in Ogallala where the couple made their home until moving to North Platte in 2003.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing and shooting pool.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his grandparents William Sigwing and Harold and Hazel McCormick.

His wife Christina Sigwing of North Platte,
Two daughters Stefanie Sigwing and Sharee Sigwing, both of Omaha.
Father Gary Sigwing and his wife Bette of Ogallala;
Mother Doris Ann and her husband Robert Lockhart of Platteville, CO.
Two brothers: Greg Sigwing of Ventura, CA; Michael Sigwing and his wife Joni of Mitchell, NE. 
Grandmother Maxine Sigwing of McCook.
Step-brothers and Step-sisters:  Paula Kuehn of Anchorage, AK; Jim Goold of Brule, NE   Jane Reynoldson of Lincoln, NE;           Craig Lockhart of Seattle, WA;Scott Lockhart of Frederick, CO
Four grandchildren: Keelen, Kaleb, LaRae, & Carlos.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 27, at 10 a.m. in the Ogallala First Congregational, United Church of Christ with Rev. Phil Ewert officiating.

Interment in the Ogallala Cemetery. A memorial has been established to an Education Fund for his grandchildren.
