 OBITUARY

 
James "Jim" Wright, 75, of Hyannis, died Friday, September 30, 2011 in Denver Health Medical Center.

James was born July 14, 1936 in Ogallala, the son of James and Maude Davis Wright. He attended schools in Ashby and Hyannis, graduating from Hyannis High School in 1955. James married Lila Benner and they resided in Mullen. The couple later divorced and Jim returned to Hyannis and worked for Missouri Valley Construction. Other employments included Biba Engineering and Road Construction and the Farrah Ranch for several years. In 1987 he began employment with the State of Nebraska Dept. of Roads.

On May 8, 1988 Jim married Ellen Bohac in Hyannis. After retiring in 2001 from the Dept. of Roads he worked during the summers for Bob Gentry.

His hobbies included fishing and hunting.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sons Bob and John, three brothers Ernie, LeRoy, and Cy; a sister Darlene, daughter-in-law Jackie, and three grandchildren.

There will be no visitation as cremation was chosen. The memorial service will be Saturday, October 8, at 2 p.m. in the Congregational Church of Hyannis. Rev. Andy Safarik will officiate.

Survivors include his wife Ellen Wright of Hyannis, his children: Jim (Margie) Wright of Florida, Retta (Frank) Hanlim of Wyoming, Pam Wright, Larry Wright, and Lila Mae Proctor, all of Jackson, Tenn.; Rose (Charlie) Smith of North Platte; Bob (Deb) Wright of Colorado; Charlie (Carol) Wright of Odessa; Teresa (Dan) Basich of Louisiana; John (Christine) Wright of Kersey, CO; Betsy Wright of Nashville, TN; and Marvin Wright, Michael Wright, and William Wright, all of Ogallala. Two sisters Sharlene (Glen) Jenkins of Ansley and Theradean Williams of Iowa. Also thirty one grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.
