 OBITUARY

 
Donald L. Kramer, 75, of Taylorsville, Utah, and formerly of Ogallala, died Sunday, August 7, in his home. 

Don was born September 10, 1935 in Mitchell, Nebraska, the son of Daniel and Katherine Gallawa Kramer.
Don attended schools in Scottsbluff and Ogallala. Don entered the
United States Air Force in 1953 and served until 1957.

On November 14, 1953 Don married his high school sweetheart Barbara Jean Pitcher. The couple moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1959 and Don worked in the automobile business. After retiring in 2000 he returned to Ogallala and subsequently moved to Scottsbluff in 2004. After the passing of his wife "Barbie" he moved to Salt Lake City.

He was a member of the Gideons International, Christian Business Men's Committee, and helped start the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake City. Don went home to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully in his sleep on August 7, 2011.

Preceding him in death was his wife and parents.

Survivors include three children: Clark (Leesa) Kramer, Peggy (Greg) Smith, and Allen (Tina) Kramer, all of Salt Lake City, Utah. sister Shirley (Ken) Ruser of Ogallala. Grandchildren: Brianna Kramer and fiancé Rob Stoddard of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Corey (Ken) Snyder of Affalterbach, Germany; Adriana (Chad) White of Nashville, Tenn.; Hillary (Shawn) Blair of Corpus Christi, Tex.; and Bailey HIll of Salt Lake City, Utah; Trista Smith of Mountain View, Wyo.; Joshua (Vinita) Smith of Columbus,Ohio. Great-grandchildren: Grace and Faith Duncan and Josh, Johnathan, and Jordyn Smith; and his faithful companion Chipper the parakeet.

Visitation will be Friday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Draucker Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 13, at 10 a.m. in the New Hope Church on East "O" Street. Rev. Jake Roberts of the Scottsbluff Monument Bible Church will officiate. Interment is in the Ogallala Cemetery with military honors by Keith County Veterans Organization.
