OBITUARY
Opal Hartman, 98, lifetime Paxton
resident, died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at Linden Court in North Platte, NE.

Opal was born March 4, 1911 in Miller, NE., the daughter of Charles and Myra
Rollings Beaird. She moved with her parents to
Sarben, NE. when she was five years of age and attended school at Sarben and
Paxton.
On December 25, 1928 Opal married Walter Hartman at her parents' home. They made
their home in Sarben and then moved to
the Hartman family farm in 1930.
Opal was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Paxton and belonged
to the Deborah Circle. She was a member of
North River Extension Club. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining her family,
playing pinochle and pitch.
Preceding her in death was her husband Walter Hartman in 1974, one brother Elmer
Beaird in 2003, two sisters Lucille Wolfertz
in 1998 and Margaret Beaird 1918, and one great-great granddaughter Elliott
Perlinger.
Survivors include two daughters Maxine and her husband Robert Perlinger of
Paxton and Shirley and her husband Allen Tompkins of Ogallala. One son Charles
Hartman and his wife DeEtta of Cozad. Nine Grandchildren and 21
great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
at Draucker Funeral Home. The casket will be closed.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 4, at 10 a.m. in Paxton Trinity
Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Elwood Hipple officiating.
The casket will be closed.
Interment in the Paxton Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Trinity Ev.
Lutheran Church.
