OBITUARY
Eldon A. Peterson, 88, longtime Perkins County farmer, died January 16, 2010, at
his home.

Eldon was born November 19, 1921 in Grant, NE., the son of Albert and Sophie
Goehry Peterson. Eldon attended rural Perkins County schools and then graduated
from Perkins County High School in 1939.
In the early 1940's Eldon had a custom combine wheat crew that harvested from
Texas to the Canadian border.
On October 29, 1948 Eldon married Suzie Higgins in Ogallala. The couple made
their home on the Peterson family farm north of Grant in Perkins County. In 1957
Eldon moved a house onto an adjoining section of the farm and they have
continued to reside there until his passing
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially his hunting trips to Canada. Eldon
was a member of the Grant United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers Leonard Peterson and
Bernie Peterson.
Survivors include his wife Suzi Peterson of Grant; three sons: Grant Peterson
and Elliott Peterson and his wife Angela, all of Grant; and Miles Peterson and
his wife Rita of Alva, OK. Two daughters: Pam and her husband Jeff Jacobson of
Lincoln and Debbie and her husband Tim Nelson of Salt Lake City, UT.
Seven grandsons: TJ Nelson, Jr. of Salt Lake City; Grant Mikael Peterson, Grady
Peterson, and Guy Peterson, all of Alva, OK; Sim Jacobson of Lincoln; and Storm
and Jet Peterson of Grant, NE. Three granddaughters:
Jessica Jacobson of Lincoln and Kathryn and Anni Nelson of Salt Lake City.
Visitation will be Monday, January 18, from noon to 6 p.m. at Draucker Funeral
Home.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 19, at 10:30 a.m. in Draucker Funeral
Home. Rev. Rich Savage of the Grant United Methodist Church will officiate.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
